Tanermelt Medieval village tour. (3 hours)
For those wanting something a little different from the waterfall a fascinating medieval village called Tanermelt is only a moderate and interesting hike from the Riad.
After traversing the river valley you arrive at the medieval village with its tiny alleyways and houses that literally blend into the hillside. Mouloud can organize mules to assist on this excursion. |

The Source. (ideal day trip with picnic lunch)
An idyllic day by the river so bring your swim gear and sun cream.
The lower river has over 15 smaller cascades and many picture perfect tree lined pools where the river runs deep and cold and the sandy beaches make the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the stunning natural beauty.
We are happy to prepare picnic lunches and Mouloud can organize mules to assist on this excursion. |

The Barbary monkey, or Magot monkey in French, is the only monkey without a tail. There are two main groups living around the waterfalls and river gorge. The first group can sometimes be seen on quieter days close to the falls, if you don't have luck there ask Mouloud to take you a little further downstream to the grotto and you may get your photo there. |

The Souk - Ait Tagla (3 hours)
For those that want to experience a rural souk with animals, local smallholder produce and all the local essentials then a trip can be organized to the nearby Ait Tagla souk.
Watching the local Berber people at work offers a deeper insight into the local customs and traditions and for those looking for a window into the true Morocco this could be an excursion for you. |
Picnics, taxis, transport or a range of third party activities can all be arranged at the reception.
